Terms of use
The plain-words rules for using the free scan, audits and plans.
Last updated
Early access
OpenKeel is in early access. Features may change, and we’ll tell you before anything you rely on changes. Paid audits and plans are set up with you directly while online billing isn’t open yet.
Only scan apps you’re allowed to
Add and scan only apps you own or have permission to test. The scan reads what any visitor could see and never changes anything, but you’re responsible for what you point it at.
Audits and fixes
- An engineer works on your app only after you request an audit, and on each fix only after you approve its estimate.
- Time is logged in 15-minute steps against fixes you approved, and you can see every entry.
- No review can promise an app is free of every problem. We tell you what we found, how sure we are, and what we suggest.
Engineers
Engineers are independent contractors vetted by OpenKeel. They sign a contractor agreement and an NDA before seeing any client app, and only see the projects assigned to them.
Fair use
Don’t misuse the service: no attacks on other people’s apps, no attempts to break into OpenKeel, and no automated volume use of the scan. We may pause accounts that do.
Your work stays yours
Your app, your code and the fixes made for you belong to you. We use your data only to provide the service, as our privacy policy explains.
